Jubilee is committed to providing a Christ-centered disciplined education.
Understanding that students learn best through a series of progressive stages,
JCA faculty and administration choose curriculum that offers rigorous and practical experience in each content area. JCA equips students for success in
education through age-specific teaching tools and a traditional approach to
learning.
Bible
"From a child thou hast known the Holy Scriptures..." - 2 Timothy 3:15
The Bible is the foundation for all other learning. Since the Bible is the most important subject, it is taught specifically and systematically throughout all grade levels.
Reading/Language Arts
"Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and
rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O lord God of hosts." - Jeremiah 15:16
The supreme goal of language arts mastery is reading the Scriptures. Because
there is no greater goal of communication than understanding and spreading the
Gospel, Jubilee strives to ready our students for the Great Commission. Jubilee
employs Christian character-building reading materials from the very beginning. All phonics, composition, and literature classes offer strong Christian emphasis and are carefully selected for interest, readability, theme, and values.
Social Science
Christian Americanism places emphasis upon the greatness of America’s heritage
and the sacrifices of her heroes. America’s Constitution guarantees liberties to educate in order to preserve freedom. We unashamedly teach the Biblical
doctrines of self-discipline, respect for those in authority, obedience to law,
and love of God, flag, and country.
Mathematics
JCA teaches students that the laws of mathematics are a creation of
God and thus absolute.
(The Saxon Math philosophy)
Science/Health
"It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search
out a matter." - Proverbs 25:2
Science is the study of God's order, provision, and reasonableness as revealed
in His physical creation. While secular science textbooks present modern
science as the opposite of faith, Jubilee has chosen curriculum that teach modern science as the product of mankind's desire to understand the earth as the orderly, law-abiding creation of God.
Fine Arts/Applied Arts
At Jubilee, we believe we were truly created to be reflections of God the
Creator. All students are required to participate in the Arts curriculum to
address that creative nature. As image-bearers, we all have a responsibility to
create that which is good and that which portrays truth, thus bringing God
greater glory through our creative gifts. Artists express their worldviews in ways that shape the worldviews of others. Our students are bombarded by a secular culture that shuns traditional values. At Jubilee, we seek to alter the reality of the current arts establishment by presenting meaningful and valueable art to our students.
School hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for grades K-3, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for grades 4-6, and 7:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for grades 7-12. We ask that all students be at school by 7:45 a.m. so that regularly scheduled classes can begin promptly. Students can be dropped off as early as 7:15 a.m. and can be picked up as late as 5:30 p.m. Afterschool begins at 3:30 p.m. Click here to view a PDF of our academic calendar of scheduled holidays and events.
